To eliminate harmful chemicals from our food chain via technology
By using CEA farming technology, zero pesticides and herbicides are used as pests are unable to gain access to the enclosed farm and no weeds can grow as there is no soil used (hydroponic).
To Eliminate Harmful Chemicals From Our Food Chain via Technology
By using CEA farming technology, zero pesticides and herbicides are used as pests are unable to gain access to the enclosed farm and no weeds can grow as there is no soil used (hydroponic). Pesticides have been recognized to be one of the major causes for many modern chronic diseases including cancer, Parkinson’s disease, asthma, depression & anxiety, Alzheimer’s disease and even birth defect.
Given a choice, who would want to consume such harmful chemical? With the increasing awareness, more consumers are switching to organic produces which are largely mis-marketed and misunderstood. They are not aware that organic farmers are still using pesticides, just that these pesticides are certified organic. Thus, with CEA’s real pesticide-free produce, the consumers are given a true option to avoid consuming these chemicals, either organic or inorganic.

Due to the rapid climate change faced by the globe, many countries such as the US and Europe have been pouring in billions in investment into CEA farming to safeguard food production from the exacerbating weather conditions and the scarcity of arable land. In Malaysia, natural disasters especially floods have destroyed many conventional farms and wiped out the produce. One such event happened in early 2022 in Sekinchan where the paddy field are swiped away by flood.
The Covid-19 event represented another wake-up call for import- reliant country such as Singapore when the supply chains are disrupted and the borders are closed for pro-longed period. With CEA, the produce are totally concealed from the weather conditions. In fact, we set the best conditions for the plants to grow. Nonetheless, one of the key improvements that CEA needs to work on is to develop the technology so that more varieties of vegetables and fruits can be produced indoor. To achieve greater sense of food security, CEA needs to produce not just leafy plants, but more foods variants that can provide carbohydrates (rice, potato etc), proteins (broccoli, beans etc) and vitamins / minerals (various fruits, chili, tomato etc). To enable this, constant R&D is a must to rapidly enhance the technology.

From urban farming to space farming
Mars missions have been launched regularly from Earth since the 1960s. Since the first successful flyby in 1965, several space agencies have successfully made it to Mars. NASA, the former Soviet Union space program, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Indian Space Research Organization each met with earlier successes.

NASA, the former Soviet Union space program, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Indian Space Research Organization each met with earlier successes. With the space science and technology advancing at light speed, scientists predict that the mars colonization would be possible as early as 2050s. Furthermore, innovative tech companies including Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Jezz Bezos’ Blue Origin have changed the landscape of the industry, encouraging more private sector players participation in a significant way.
Saturn Agtech envisions ourselves to be part of the space movement. This mission will drive the company to constantly seek and achieve revolutionary breakthrough in the farming technology, thus living up to our tagline of “leading farming revolutions”.
